Twin Room

The Twin Room offers two single beds, private bathroom, cupboard with safe-lock and a seating area in the beautiful Newar style. View is towards the street. Kindly note, that the room ceiling is only 1.8 meter high. It is also possible to add an extra bed, kindly contact us for this.

Double Room

The Double Room offers a queen- or kingsize double bed, private bathroom, cupboard with safe-lock and a seating area in the beautiful Newar style.  View towards the inner garden of the Newa Chen. Kindly note that the room ceiling is only 1.8 meter high. It is also possible to add an extra bed, kindly contact us for this.

Double Room "High"

The Double Room "High" -situated in the annex building- have higher ceiling, a kingsize double bed, private bathroom, cupboard with safe-lock, roof terrace and in some cases a balcony seat. All rooms offer an immersive experience in the Newar heritage world with a beautiful view of the garden and of the historic Newa Chen house.

Those rooms will be available from February 2023.

A social enterprise

Our guest house is run as a Social Enterprise: after paying fair salaries to the staff, the entire benefit is donated to support the Children Home of the NGO Kam For Sud. The children home is situated in the Kathmandu valley and offers love, protection and education to about 60 orphan or abandoned children living in 3 family houses, each house being managed by a couple of nepalese parents. One hectare of organic farmland surrounds the three homes for the self sustainment of the structure.
